The Northern Veracruz region, on the east coast of Mexico, is an important citrus-growing region, accounting for approximately 50% of the country’s production of oranges. While farming has often involved the use of glyphosate and other chemical inputs, over recent years, farmers, Indigenous community members, and women leaders have been coming together to transform citrus farming through agroecology. These infographics, produced by the FLOW team, tell two versions of the story of this transition, one in terms of the numbers of people and consultations that have taken place, and the other illustrating the timeline of events that have taken place as land is turned over to agroecological production.
