Course Summary

This online course in Sustainable Food Systems covers different drivers of food systems (economic, political, environmental, socio-cultural, etc.), the nutrition transition, ultra-processed foods, and health. It presents several potential solution pathways, policies and initiatives on different levels, and a focus on alternative food networks, agroecology, and One Health.

The course is 5 weeks in length, with a time commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week, followed at the learner’s own pace. Registration is free on EdX, and the course can be taken in English, Spanish, and French. The course opens on January 9, 2025, and closes on April 30, 2025, after which it will be archived.
